FAQ

Clipping questions, answered

Eclips Network pays creators to post music edits on their own TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts accounts, and runs clipping marketing campaigns for labels and media teams. Answers for creators and labels and media teams are below.

Creators

Who can join as a creator?
Anyone with a Whop account. Sign in with Whop, open your free creator account, then verify the TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts accounts you post from.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. The creator account is free. You sign in with Whop and open it from the Eclips Network platform.
I've never clipped before. Can I still join?
Yes. When you open your account you choose “I'm new to clipping”, “I've clipped before” or “I'm a pro”, and the introduction adjusts to where you are.
Do I post on my own account?
Yes. You post the edit on your own TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts account, then submit the link on the campaign's page.
How do I get paid?
Each campaign pays either per view (for example $1 per 1,000 views) or a flat rate per approved clip, from the campaign's budget. Per-view clips earn during an earning period (currently 7 days), then pay automatically. Earnings land in your Whop balance after any marketplace fee.
Is there a minimum or maximum per clip?
A campaign can set minimum views to qualify, a minimum payout and a maximum payout per clip. Each campaign page shows its own numbers.
How do I withdraw?
From your Whop balance, to a bank account, PayPal or a crypto wallet. Payments under $1 can't be sent.
Why didn't a small payment arrive?
Payments under $1 can't be sent, so a clip that earns less than $1 isn't paid out.
What gets a clip approved?
Following the campaign's brief. Every clip is reviewed against it before it's paid. Common reasons for rejection are using the wrong sound, using media that isn't approved for the campaign, and copied or reused content. A rejected clip comes with a reason, and clips that aren't approved aren't paid.
Can I use any TV or film footage?
Use only the media the campaign's brief approves. You're responsible for any TV or film media you use outside that approved scope, and clips with media that isn't approved are rejected.
What is an official sound?
Music campaigns name the song creators must use. Post your edit using that sound, as the campaign page says, so it counts toward the campaign.
What kind of edits can I make?
Short-form edits that set music to TV, film, celebrity and fandom moments, following each campaign's brief.
Are earnings guaranteed?
No. Earnings aren't guaranteed. Pay depends on your clip's views, the campaign's rate and whether the clip is approved.
What do I need to start?
A Whop account, at least one TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts account you post from, and an editing app you're comfortable with.
Do I need videography experience?
No. Eclips Network campaigns are edit campaigns, not filming gigs. Videography skills transfer well to editing, but you don't shoot anything.
How are contests different from campaigns?
Campaigns pay for each approved clip. Contests are creative briefs with cash prize pools: winners are picked by community vote or by editors, and results are published on the contest page.

Labels and media teams

What kind of campaigns does Eclips Network run?
Clipping marketing campaigns: verified creators set your song, show or film to pop-culture edits and post them on their own TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts accounts. Eclips Network runs them for record labels and artists, TV and film studios, networks and streamers, and media teams.
How are clips reviewed?
Eclips Network reviews every clip against your brief. Clips that miss it are rejected with a reason, and only approved clips are paid from the campaign budget.
How are results reported?
Views, likes, comments and shares are tracked on each approved clip, and a campaign's results can be shared as a link. Views count how often clips were watched; they aren't streams, sales or revenue.
How are creators verified?
Creators verify the TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts accounts they post from, so every clip comes from an account that's really theirs.
How do we start a campaign?
Email us@eclipsnetwork.co, or use the contact page, with the track, show or film, the goal, timing, a budget range and the platforms you want.
What does a campaign cost?
We offer flexible pricing at competitive CPM rates, and we work with everyone from independent artists to large label teams. To ask about campaign costs, email us@eclipsnetwork.co or use the contact page.
How quickly does a campaign get going?
Campaigns usually start seeing volume within 12 to 24 hours of launch.
Who is responsible for footage rights?
Each campaign's brief sets the approved media creators may use. Creators are responsible for any TV or film media they use outside that approved scope, and clips with media that isn't approved are rejected.
Which media and entertainment teams do you work with?
Beyond music, TV and film, our creator network covers Western celebrity and pop-culture content, posted on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
