Music clipping

What is music clipping?

Music clipping is making short-form edits that use a campaign's official sound, set to TV, film, celebrity and fandom moments, and posting them on your own TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts account. On Eclips Network, approved clips are paid from the campaign's budget, per view or at a flat rate per approved clip.

How music clipping pays

  • Per view

Some campaigns pay per view, for example $1 per 1,000 views. Per-view clips earn during an earning period (currently 7 days), then pay automatically.

  • Flat rate

Other campaigns pay a flat rate for each approved clip.

  • Limits per clip

A campaign can set minimum views to qualify, a minimum payout and a maximum payout per clip. Each campaign page shows its numbers.

  • From the budget

Every payment comes from the campaign's budget, and each campaign page shows how much is left.

Briefs, review and edit types

  • The brief

Each campaign has a brief: what to make, the official sound to use and the rules clips must follow.

  • Review

Every clip is reviewed against the brief. A rejected clip comes with a reason, and clips that aren't approved aren't paid.

  • Edit types

Edits set the song to TV, film, celebrity and fandom moments, as each campaign's brief describes.
