How to make music edits
A music edit sets a song to TV, film, celebrity or fandom moments in a short-form video. On Eclips Network, music campaigns pay creators to make these edits with the campaign's official sound and post them on their own accounts.
What a music campaign asks for
- The official sound. The campaign names the song. Use it as the campaign page says.
- The brief. What to make and the rules clips must follow.
- The platforms. TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, as the campaign lists.
Making the edit
Pick moments that fit the song and the brief, cut them to the music, and keep the clip short-form for the platform you post on.
Recommended apps:
- CapCut for quick edits on your phone or computer.
- After Effects for more advanced effects and motion work.
- Any other editor you're comfortable with works too, as long as the clip follows the brief.

Edit styles that work well
- Velocity edits. The clip speeds up and slows down in time with the beat (speed ramping), so the cuts and motion hit with the music. Smooth ramps and clean beat-matching are what make them land.
- Lyric videos with high-quality B-roll. The song's lyrics appear on screen in time with the music, over clean, high-quality footage that fits the mood. Readable text and sharp visuals keep viewers watching to the end.
Always check the campaign's brief first: it says which styles and media are allowed.
Posting and submitting
Post the edit on your own verified account, then submit the link on the campaign's page. Every clip is reviewed against the brief before it's paid.
Videography skills
If you shoot video, those skills transfer well to editing. Eclips Network campaigns are edit campaigns, not filming gigs.
